The Safety Case Report book reflects the judgements and opinions of the authors alone and is not endorsed by, or intended to reflect the views of, any other person or organisation.

The authors make no claim that the Safety Case Report format complies with any requirements of law, regulation or standards. Knowledge, best practice and legal provisions in this field are constantly changing and so changes in professional practices and approaches may be necessary, and may need to be applied to the content of the book.

The Safety Case Report format is deliberately generic and has not been trialled or validated prior to publication. It is intended as a resource for those interested in the design of Safety Case Reports. When used, it must be interpreted and tailored by competent individuals to reflect the needs of a specific safety case in its industry sector and legal environment.

Responsibility for ensuring that a specific Safety Case Report is fit for purpose lies solely with the producer(s) of the Safety Case Report.
