The purpose of the book is to specify a view of what a Safety Case Report should comprise. It addresses how an Safety Case Report can present key elements of a completed safety case to management or a third party, to communicate how the acceptability of the risks is demonstrated in the safety case. It does not address when and how a safety case is produced, or the production of interim Safety Case Reports to report progress on preparation of a safety case.
The report format is defined to include everything that the authors believe a reviewer would want to be reported about a safety case. For this purpose CAP 1801 was used as a reference point.Â
